Hit By Car

Here are some tips if you ever have the unfortunate incident of your animal being hit by a car.

  • Stay calm; animals can sense if you are upset.
  • Be careful approaching the animal. An animal that is hurt or frightened will often bite.
  • If the animal is trying to bite, cover it's head with a thick towel or blanket.
  • Even if your animal does not show any obvious injuries, an exam should still be conducted to rule out any possible internal injuries.
  • If possible, please call ahead in order to allow us to prepare. If help is needed getting the animal inside, please let the receptionist know so that we can help bring your animal inside.
