Jody Ehrmin, DVM
Dr. Ehrmin has worked here since July, 2002. She is a Toledo native who graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S. in Zoology and doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She occasionally fills in at Humane Ohio, a non-profit, low cost spay and neuter clinic that started out treating feral cats but now treats pet cats and dogs.
She has four cats: Alec, a siamese mix; Oliver, a beige tabby; Boo, a black cat; and Rosie, a tortoiseshell. They range in age from 6 to 16 years.
She loves science and medicine as well as helping people. Veterinary medicine lets her help people by helping their four-legged family members. Her interests include internal medicine, animal pediatrics, geriatrics and feline internal medicine. Dr. Ehrmin's hobbies include photography, singing, reading, and growing orchids and carnivorous plants.
About emergency medicine she says: "I like the unpredictable nature of the business; you never know what's going to happen. I really like helping people in the middle of the night. They are so thankful we are here to help them." - Dr. Ehrmin
