David Drake , DVM

    Dr. Drake grew up in Toledo. He graduated from Whitmer High School in 1979 and The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. After graduation he returned to Toledo to join Dr. Gilbert Papay and Dr. Don Giller at Countryside Animal Hospital. He developed a special interest in traditional chinese medicine and became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1998. To add to his acupuncture practice he began studying chinese herbal medicine in 2000.

    After 21 years of practice he has stepped away from Countryside and will be continuing on his own. He has joined the TEAM at Animal Emergency and he will be seeing acupuncture patients during the day as well as working as an emergency veterinarian some nights and weekends.
